Effective January 1, 2006 the state of California requires all California employers with 50 or more employees to provide two hours of training on sexual-harassment prevention to all supervisors once every two years. The law states that the training must consist of "information and practical guidance regarding the federal and state statutory provisions concerning the prohibition against and the prevention and correction of sexual harassment and the remedies available to victims of sexual harassment." It also states that the person providing the training must be someone who has “knowledge and expertise in the prevention of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation” and that the training must include “practical examples” aimed at preventing harassment. This online course meets those requirements
