About the Course

Our Cultural Competency in the Pharmacy training course is designed to show learners how to communicate effectively with, and be sensitive to, their culturally diverse customer base.

As your customers become more diverse, the opportunities and challenges related to communicating with this client base requires special training. Learners will become more culturally competent and better able to communicate to ensure desirable outcomes. Also, aspects of Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act are covered.

Training Requirements

The ACA requires that all staff members of facilities that receive federal funding for healthcare (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) are responsible for ensuring that they do not participate in discriminatory practices. This training addresses those requirements. Also, many of the 'Plans' now require this training.

Training Frequency: Re-training frequency is typically determined by Company Policy or 'Plan' requirements.

Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of our Cultural Competency in the Pharmacy course and final exam, you will be able to immediately print your completion certificate from your My Account page. It will also be e-mailed to you.

If you lose your Cultural Competency in the Pharmacy certificate of completion and need a replacement, you can log back into you account and print additional copies.
